Hi! I'm a joint Ph.D. student in Higher Education and Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. I draw from cultural and organizational sociology to study how social categories, like race and ethnicity and social class, shape the college-to-labor market transition in ways that can perpetuate inequality.
Prior to starting my doctoral studies, I worked as a researcher at Harvard Business School, conducted program evaluation for Year Up, a national workforce development nonprofit for young adults, and studied North Korean refugees' civic participation as a Fulbright fellow in South Korea.
Please feel free to reach out if you have questions about applying to graduate school or my research, especially if you identify as first-generation/lower-income or from a historically underrepresented group.
