Emily Curran (she/her) is a PhD student in sociology and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. She is a quantitative researcher who is interested in the ways external shocks, policy, and infrastructures of care shape paid and unpaid work, particularly for parents in the United States. Her past work includes an examination of parental labor force participation during the Great Recession and COVID-19, a qualitative study on high impact practices in higher education, and a geographic analysis of food assistance deserts in Central Florida.
